What did you picture the batmobile would look like in Batman Begins before it came out?
I picture a futuristic concept car with bat wings or an automobile with bat wings like the 89/92 batmobile from Batman and Batman Returns. Definitely not a big ugly a** tank like vehicle. Batman is not a G.I.Joe! Batmobile should always be an automobile with bat wings.

Yea, given the fuel crisis in the middle east and the over-price of gas in North America, it seemed kind-of inappropriate for them to go with a gas-gussling SUV-Tank. And it’s not very eco-friendly either. And frankly, who drives American-built automobiles?
But to answer your question, I didn’t think about the car at all until I saw a review about the movie several years after it came out. If I had thought about it, I probably would’ve expected a Bently or some kind of Rolls Royce.
A jazzed up version of a blended version of a Corvette and a futuristic car similar to the one in Back to the Future I, II and III.
They should have called the one they used “A Bat-o-matic Tank” because it was so ugly.
