@ResurgamZerg I always find the concept of “realistic” music to be a bit silly, since the only music one would hear in daily life would be from the subwoofers of a vehicle. That being said, the BTAS feature deserves the most epic music!

Trust me, this music would not work with a live action film. Zimmer’s works perfectly with live action. Walker’s owns the animated scene.

Best Batman Theme ever I think. I truly enjoyed the Batman 1989 film as well as the Nolan films. However I don’t think either truly did justice to the comics. They were great films on their own rights but I’d like to see a true live action Batman movie. The Mask of the Phantasm was great but I am talking live action.

Agreed. This Batman Theme sound wayyy better than Elfman’s. And that’s saying a lot for me because I really like Elfman’s Batman 89 theme.

Its amazing because the language that they are singing is actually not a language at all! Its actually the names of everybody on the music team for MotP being sang backwards!! Shirley Walker was up set that they weren’t going to get credit fo the music so she made a loophole. She was an absolute GENIUS!!

even before B&R was released, there were already plans for a fifth movie
at first, Schumacher wanted to adapt Year One, and even had Frank Miller’s help writing a screenplay
but the studio wanted another sequel; Schumacher agreed, so long as he can make it dark & edgy again
unfortunately, B&R tanked and Schumacher got fired

@painlessissuicide Ah. I apologize for jumping to those conclusions. I know how frustratingly influencial the studios can be. I didn’t know that was the situation. I think my disliking of the third and fourth films just clouded my judgement.

@GoldenFlither15 Joel Schumacher (unlike Nolan) was a lifelong comic book fan
when he got the director’s chair, he fully intended to continue in the dark style of Tim Burton (ever see The Lost Boys? Falling Down? imagine THAT guy directing a Batman movie!)
but Warner Bros. wanted something that they could sell to a younger audience (i.e. more toys) so Schumacher did what they wanted

Danny Elfman was great to the first real live action movies, Hanz Zimmer made a great soundtrack to with a modern touch in it, but this is just the best soundtrack ever
